It was last updated around March 2016 before the author realized that they'd pretty much painted themselves in a corner, due to the way that they'd chosen to impliment it (the mod altered camera values to mimic the look) so development ceased. Creation of such mod probably requires fully functional F4SE (Follout 4 Script Extender), which is still in development. We have to be patient, I guess. This bug has happened to me on 2 different characters and this fixed it both times. I keep a hunting rifle in the inventory of my companions just for this.
