WebFallow Disking Fallow disking is a practice designed to set back plant succession, encourage a volunteer plant community that has favorable structure for cover and foraging habitat, and provide plant and insect foods for wildlife. Fallow disking can also be used to discourage woody plant invasions in field borders, old fields, and openings.
