WebI believe the cheap bipod I have on my Savage is 6-9 as well and I've used while prone with no issue. When I shoot at a bench I have to extend the legs for comfort, so maybe the 9-13 is a better idea. I'm guessing it's more bulkier than the 6-9 though. WebMar 13, 2024 · Personally I much prefer a QD mount like this on a rail section than having the bipod directly mounted to the gun. I don't like having the bipod attached most of the time, and only attach it when needed. The QD mount like the one above makes that a lot easier; it adds a little height to the bipod but that doesn't seem to be a problem.
